9-Month Limited Term Appointment (Barrie)
The Department of Mathematical Sciences at Lakehead University invites applications for a nine-month Limited Term Appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor. We are looking for a candidate with the ability to teach Math in support of several programs in the Lakehead-Georgian Partnership (primarily the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science programs) at Lakehead University (Barrie) campus. The position will commence on August 15, 2020 at a rank commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Applicants should have a demonstrated commitment to teaching at the undergraduate level with an excellent teaching record and demonstrated potential for scholarly research. Candidates for the position should possess or be nearing completion of a Ph.D. degree in Mathematics from a university recognized by Canadian Universities. Experience with experiential learning and online or alternative modes of course delivery is highly desired.
