Job Summary:

The Department of Mathematics & Statistics invites applicants for a one-year Limited Term Faculty appointment. The successful applicant will be expected to teach a total of six (6) sections of mathematics courses.  These courses will primarily be at the 100 level (including science stream or business stream calculus and discrete math), but instruction at the upper level may be required based on demand.  The successful applicant is also expected to provide university or departmental service.

Duties of Limited Term faculty fall within Article 18.2 (Teaching Faculty Duties) of the Collective Agreement, specifically the Teaching and Service components.

Qualifications:

The successful applicant must have a minimum of a MSc in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics, though a PhD in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics is preferred.  The successful applicant must have a record of effectively teaching university-level mathematics courses, experience in providing university or academic service, and evidence of prior scholarly activities.
