Instructor Mathematics and Statistics

The Department of Mathematics & Statistics invites applicants for a one-year Limited Term Faculty appointment. The successful applicant will be expected to teach a total of six (6) sections of statistics courses. These courses will primarily be at the 100 level, but instruction at the upper level may be required based on demand. The successful applicant is also expected to provide university or departmental service and carry out scholarly activities.

Duties of Limited Term faculty fall within Article 18.2 (Teaching Faculty Duties) of the Collective Agreement, specifically the Teaching, Service, and Scholarship components.

Qualifications:

The successful applicant must have a minimum of a MSc in Statistics or a related discipline, a successful record of teaching university-level statistics courses, experience in providing university or academic service, and evidence of prior scholarly activities.

a statement of teaching philosophy including (if available) examples of innovative approaches to
teaching

recent teaching evaluations

a one-page statement of proposed scholarly activity or research

names and contact information for three referees

The Selection Advisory Committee will begin reviewing applications on April 30, 2022, but the position will remain open until filled.
