Limited Term Instructor – Department of Mathematics and Statistics

The Faculty of Science, University of Calgary invites applications for a Limited Term Instructor position in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, to start on or after August 1, 2019, for a 13 month term.

Duties include undergraduate teaching in Mathematics and Statistics.

The ideal candidate will hold a PhD or MSc or equivalent in Mathematics, Statistics, or in a closely-related area, and will have good communication skills, and have a demonstrated record of excellence in teaching.

The successful candidate will have opportunities for professional development through the Taylor Institute for Teaching and Learning, as well as becoming part of a vibrant group of instructors in Mathematics and Statistics.

Applications should include: a cover letter, curriculum vitae, and a statement of teaching experience and philosophy. Each applicant should also arrange to have three letters of recommendation uploaded to the MathJobs website.

The submitted material should provide evidence of excellence in teaching. Evidence for excellence in teaching may comprise positive teaching accomplishments and accolades, strong letters of reference and teaching evaluations, and a teaching dossier.
